kraft foods is putting on the glitz for its ritz brand with a campaign featuring celebrities such as wyclef jean, guy fieri and tiki barber, among others. the effort, by euro rscg, new york, comes as sales of kraft’s no. 1 cracker brand typically jump 25 percent in the weeks leading up to the super bowl, according to the company. the campaign, themed “tailgate,” is also the latest evolution of kraft’s “open for fun” push, which aims to court a younger audience for the 66-year-old nabisco cracker brand.

the american heart association (aha) recently reported the results of a study conducted on cooked fish and how various cooking methods affect omega-3 fatty acid content. the study team found that baked or boiled fish is far healthier than fried, salted or dried fish.the study consisted of nearly 200,000 men and women from various ethnic backgrounds who were divided into groups based on intake of different types of prepared fish as well as other foods high in omega-3 oils.
